Fields of application
Due to its strongly magnetizing, phosphorescent properties, terbium offers a complete range of possible applications. For example, with zirconium oxide, terbium is important in fuel cell technology. Besides dysprosium, neodymium and europium, terbium is used to increase the coercivity. It is also added to phosphors to produce green color effects. In dentistry, it is used to manufacture all-ceramic systems.
