Fields of application
In alloys, tantalum provides substantial hardness. It is also used to refine high-strength and heat-resistant steel. In addition, the technology metal is used to produce microelectrical capacitors and nickel-based superalloys. Tantalum is also used in sputtering targets for coating processes.
