The Deutsche Welle answered the question of why many German companies continue to trade with China despite political risks in an article published on 21 November 2025. This applies to strategic raw materials such as rare earths, for example. TRADIUM Managing Director Matthias Rüth believes that there is currently no way around company contacts in the Middle Kingdom. He emphasises that there are long-standing, reliable trade relationships. At the same time, he emphasises that efforts are increasingly being made to find alternative procurement sources. The pressure is coming less from politics and more from the market itself.
